The Effect of Aegis Defender Pro on National Security

14 January, 2023

When Aegis Defender Pro is installed, it blocks millions of known hackers, spammers and bad bots from the host computer instantly, blocks attacks in real-time, and reports those attacks to our central station. Once reported, the attacking IP address is researched, added to our master block-list, then syndicated to all subscribers within an hour of the detected attack. This process happens automatically, and without the need for IT staff to get involved. As a result, the implementation of Aegis Defender Pro software on every public facing server within the government would have a significant positive effect on National Security.

First, it would greatly enhance the government's ability to detect and block malicious cyber-attacks in real-time. The software's ability to update the firewall in real-time with a remote list of IP addresses and CIDRs of known and new attackers would make it much harder for cyber-criminals to penetrate government networks.

Second, the software's ability to share attack information across government networks would greatly enhance the government's ability to defend against cyber-attacks. With the ability to share attack information in real-time, the government could quickly identify and block new cyber-threats, making it much harder for cyber-criminals to penetrate government networks.

Third, the software's ability to become stronger the more it is attacked, would give the government a distinct advantage in the ongoing battle against cyber-criminals. The more the government is attacked, the stronger the system becomes, making it harder for cyber-criminals to penetrate government networks in the future.

In addition, implementing such software would not only help to protect against known cyber threats but also keep the system updated with the new and emerging threats. This would help to stay ahead of the adversaries and keep the government's cyber defense posture robust.

The potential effect of Aegis Defender Pro on national security would depend on the percentage of government public-facing servers and workstations that use the software. Generally speaking, the more government agencies that use the software, the greater the overall effect on national security would be.

If only 20% of government public-facing servers and workstations used Aegis Defender Pro, it would likely provide some level of increased security and protection against cyber-attacks. However, it would not provide the same level of protection as if a larger percentage of government agencies were using the software.

At 50% adoption, the level of protection would be significantly higher and it would be harder for attackers to breach the defenses. It would also mean that more government agencies are contributing to the community protection and the overall protection would be stronger.

If 100% of government public-facing servers and workstations used Aegis Defender Pro, it would provide the highest level of protection against cyber-attacks, making it much more difficult for attackers to breach the defenses. This would also mean that all government agencies are contributing to the community protection and the overall protection would be the strongest.

It's important to note that national security is a complex issue, and many factors contribute to it. Cybersecurity is just one aspect of national security, and Aegis Defender Pro alone would not be a panacea for all security issues. However, it would provide an additional layer of protection for government agencies and the ability to share information and protect each other would be an important step towards stronger national security.
